Welcome to my website. I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology, School of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), and a practising geriatrician at NCKU Hospital in Taiwan.

My work sits at the intersection of geriatric medicine, health services research, and social policy. I am particularly interested in what happens at the interfaces between healthcare, long-term care, families, and communities and how these connections can work better for older people and family carers in an ageing society.

I describe this work as Interface Geriatrics（介面高齡醫學）—an approach that looks beyond individual diseases to understand how older people and their families experience care across different settings, where gaps and disconnections emerge, and how better models of care and support can be designed.

My current work is organised around four connected areas: integrated care for older adults and family carers; social prescribing and community-connected care; education for integrated care and health systems; and community health and social innovation in rapidly changing science-park communities. Across these projects, I draw on mixed methods, co-design, implementation science, and service evaluation to understand real-world needs and translate them into practical models, pathways, and interventions.

My academic background reflects this cross-disciplinary approach. I received a DPhil in Social Policy from the University of Oxford, MSc in Health Policy from National Taiwan University, and MD from Kaohsiung Medical University, followed by specialist training in family medicine and geriatrics at National Taiwan University Hospital. Alongside research, clinical practice, and teaching, I collaborate with government, healthcare organisations, and civil society partners on ageing, family caregiver support, and healthcare and long-term care policy reform.

介面高齡醫學：連結醫療、長照、家庭與社區的高齡整合照護研究

從臨床看見人，從政策理解結構，從設計做出路徑。

我的研究從高齡醫學的臨床現場出發，關注高齡者與家庭照顧者在醫療、長照、家庭與社區之間移動時，所經驗到的照護斷裂、制度縫隙與支持需求。我將此研究取徑稱為「介面高齡醫學」：不只關心疾病治療，也關心高齡者如何在不同照護場域之間被銜接、被支持，或被制度遺落。

結合高齡醫學、社會政策、健康服務研究與共創設計，目前的研究與實踐聚焦於四個彼此連結的方向：高齡者—家庭照顧者雙元整合照護、社會處方與社區連結、高齡整合照護與健康系統教育，以及南科雙城的社區健康與社會創新。透過質量混合研究、共創設計、實施科學與評估，我希望把臨床中看見的問題，轉化為可以真正落實的照護模式與體系變革。
